Lakes, waterfalls and cuckoo clocks

Z├╝rich, Rheinfalls, Titisee, Frankfurt

Start of the day, cold in Zurich city centre at the lake and drisly rain which was constant all day. Onto the Rheinfalls which push out a large volume of fresh water into a clear blue river. The shoal of fish underneath the bridge is so thick it is deceptive as it changes the water to a dark colour.

The bulk of the day spent at Titisee, near the Black Forest. Think and eat Black Forest cake, sorry cheesecake shop nothing on the real thing. Also local specialities include Black Forest ham and the origins of cuckoo clocks. A demo of the evolution of the clocks and a purchase of our very own - thanks to my late grandma, 2 years and 2 days gone but not forgotten - that has the cuckoo and music box.

Back to Frankfurt for dinner and the night.
