Christmas Day had us awake early to take calls from family. After more sleep we woke, had breakfast and then were back on the road to Brussels. Our first stop was the Atomium for a quick photo, but being Christmas Day it was closed. The whole complex was built of a world expo and the Atomium itself was impressive piece of engineering.

We then hopped back on the bus and spent time wandering the centre of town, trying and buying Belgium Chocolate, eating waffles and shopping for souvenirs. The town itself is fascinating and the historic building are amazing. Most of the town centre buildings feature gold leaf which was stunning. In the centre there was a large decorated Christmas tree and life sized nativity scene. It is our last day on the tour, after lunch we head back to Paris to begin the second stage of our trip.
