A day of travel over the German and Czech Republic countryside and we arrived in Praha (Prague) in the evening. Christmas is everywhere as we wandered around the new town. It was a little challenging understanding and communicating, a reminder of the joys of experiencing all things new in travel - as we got a handle on things like the Czech rounds, time to move on.

Prague is a very pretty city. The castle and surrounding compound is the largest in Europe and is used by the Czech President as his office. The cathedral was built in the 14th century. We headed down many steps to walk to the small town where the streets are narrow and buildings colourful and adorned, similarly after crossing the St Charles bridge, in the old town too. We had a local sweet cake, like a cross between a pastry and a donut, Trdelnik. The astrological clock stands in the middle of the old city, which we waited to see toll. On to Slovakia for the night.
